I feel like I need to vent about something that I know happens to a LOT of people. Ever been in that highly amusing situation where someone from your past who treated you badly for some superficial reason (like the ‘harsh politics’ of high school, etc.) suddenly wants to be your friend on Facebook? Not only do they want to be your internet acquaintance, they proceed to message you, trying to attain your friendship (or something more) as if they don’t recall how shitty they were to you? Yeah. This is my never-ending problem.

It has nothing to do with hurt feelings or grudges, because I could care less about these people, but the fact that they don’t understand why this WON’T make us friends. Allow me to paste a conversation with a recent culprit:

I opted not to respond anymore because this person is clearly too oblivious to understand that I don’t need his apology, I just want him to fuck off. Why? Because I was only trying to make a point.

People don’t think twice about these things when they’re giving people shit in school. You can’t make people hate school (I’m not saying he had anything to do with how much I hated school, but he certainly wasn’t my friend.) because you make fun of them or bully them, then turn about a few years later & say “It’s not a big deal.”

Because you’re the fucking problem with society.

Overall though, for me, this is just an unbelievably funny (though frustrating) thing. Several times I’ve had guys I went to school with longgg ago (elementary school even) try to hit on me. Why? Turns out they think weird chicks are hot now! Who knew.
